I used to fear taking portraits of people. It felt I used to fear taking portraits of people. It felt like I was disturbing people for a result probably not good enough - why bother people right?… But over the years I practiced my portraits and soon discovered that this fear was a grey tool pushing me to get better at my crafts.
I learned to love portraits when I discovered the positive impact they could have on people’s view of themselves - when someone’s cries seeing a beautiful version of themselves they’ve never seen before it moves you ✨
Although I do hold the camera for the portrait, it feels more like a co-creation between my subject, the Light and me. How do you feel about portraits? Have a beautiful day ✨❤️ #portraits #photography #streetphotography #travelphotography
Phone or Camera? Can you tell which on is which? F Phone or Camera? Can you tell which on is which?
For the past few years I’ve been working on documenting more with details. Why?
Well, I was reviewing my own photography one day I noticed that I had the tendency to shoot « wider » scenes and much less details and « less obvious » frames.
Those details and less obvious frames usually help to tell a fuller picture and therefore I’ve decided to try to do it more (whenever I remember).
Here’s a little set with what I mean: tight complex scene, inside details and wider more obvious shot. Note those were not all the same cars but I love the vibe of those shots 😊 imagine someone sitting at the backseat matching the vibe or visible in the side view mirror 😃 Review your work and try to create more of what you never create - it’s a fuuuun ! Have a beautiful day ✨ Ps: all shots were edited with my LR presets available in bio or at ptl.fm/presets #photography #streetphotography #xperia #canon #sony

Sometimes the most mondaine activities inspire me to create ✨

Back in Japan I was struggling to find diversity i Back in Japan I was struggling to find diversity in what to create in that little town of Ginzan Onsen (an old silver mining town). Don’t get me wrong it looked epic and gave me Spirited Away vibes but after 2 hours shooting I must say it felt very much like the same shots 😅
So I decided to put myself in the photo with my yukata (an unlined cotton summer kimono, worn in casual settings) and asked @hellovivienne to help me capture the mood. Sometimes you just gotta try and see how it comes out asking your inner critic to just play a bit before judging . 🙌 Have a beautiful weekend ✨❤️ #japan #travelphotography #sonyalpha #photography
